Rectangular Hollow Sections are manufactured from a minimum size of 40×10 mm to the maximum size of 300×200 mm with the minimum thickness of 1.6 mm to maximum of 10 mm.

Dimension of Rectangular Hollow Section

Rectangular hollow sections are predominantly used in flexural members which require higher geometric properties along the major axis. They can also be used as compression members where the unsupported length along the major axis is higher than usual.
